Environmental Hideouts
The Statue and Trash Bin was the only ones confirmed in the demo. Some of the Environmental Hideouts in previous games may return like the Locker and Tree
Statue: Snake can use the statues to hide, by climbing up next to the statues with the Statue Camouflage. There Are Probably More Than One Type of Statue Texture so you will see Statue Camouflage 1, Statue Camouflage 2 etc.
Trash Bin: Snake can hide in a Trash Bin but they are very smelly. So you're likely to attract quite a foul smell hiding in one. Your smell can give your position away. You can open the lead slightly and equipped single handheld pistols, and probably some other weapon/items.
PCM: In the demo the PCM’s moved in a four-man team, in a search formation. They are able to break up into two-man teams. And you see a single man scout units as well.
The PCM guns....
Smell: Your smell in the game can give your position away, anyone downwind from Snakes position probably be alerted to the smell and Come Looking for Snake. Wind Direction HUD will give us a heads up on which way we should go if Snake stinks.
Hiding in Trash Bin is one way you can attract a foul smell. The cigarettes that Snake will most likely have in the game, will probably give off a smell when you're smoking them, and you may attract the Cigarettes smoke smell as well for some time afterwards. There's most likely will be other ways for Snake to attract smells maybe even pleasant ones. Smelling bad may also affect your CHI.
Weapon and Item Pickup: In the demo Snake picks up a couple of PCM's guns and some ammo and rations. The ammo, rations and guns do not appear in Snakes, initial weapons and items selection menus. I would assume they go into something like the backpack in MGS3. In the CHI Browser there are Weapon and Item options, this is probably where picked up weapons and items go.
