BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
This is the description of Beauty and the Beast trailer from the PLAYSTATION®Store.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots Trailer
Featuring the debut of the boss characters for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots -- Laughing Octopus, Raging Raven, Crying Wolf, and Screaming Mantis -- the women that make up the Beauty and the Beast Corp.
Each member of the all female BB Corp is empowered with special, unique abilities, and each woman has individual back stories outlining how they became such monsters monstorities.
All four of the girls were born out of innocence, but were transformed by the horrors of war into beasts, both mentally and physically. They are perfect representations of the “Beauty and the Beasts” theme which runs throughout Metal Gear Solid 4.
RAGEING RAVEN: her wings look like the same technology as those of the unmanned biomechanic bomber creatures called Sliders. Which she may be able to control.
Fred Tatasciore /Nika Futterman
Raging Raven (voice: English version)
SCREAMING MANTIS: She appears to be a puppeteer she has two martinet dolls one of them is Psycho Mantis and the other is the Sorrow. I'm sure she is controlling these two characters beyond the grave and has access to their powers. She look like she's tactical gear like Snake and PMCs.
Fred Tatasciore /Andrea Zafra
Screaming Mantis (voice: English version)
LANGHING OCTOPUS:She has tentacles are similar to the ones that Solidus's had. She also has Octocam technology in her suit and seems to be juggling with what looks to be bombs of some kind.
Fred Tatasciore / Paula Tiso
Laughing Octopus (voice: English version)
CRYING WOLF: She has a gun on her back that look kind of like Fortunes Railgun
Fred Tatasciore /Debra Wilson
Crying Wolf (voice: English version)

There are some new and old faces in the new TGS trailer.
The new ones are.
DREBIN: A gun launderer who follows the rules of the SOP(Son's Of Patriots) System.Drebin drives in a Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle with the words “EYE HAVE YOU (some kind of insignia) DREBIN 893” on it.
LITTLE GRAY: "Drebin sidekick." (Ryan Payton quote)
SUNNY: A brilliant young girl rescued from the patriots clutches. She says she's the daughter of Olga. She seems not to like snakes smoking.
HAVEN TROORER: A covert unit of enhanced soldiers. Ed refers to them as FROGS and Meryl says that these guys are with Liquid's private army. They are all Female.
These are so old characters but with newly revealed names.
ED: Meryl's second-in-command. He is named after one of the policenaughts.
JONATHAN: A hulking soldier of few words. He's sporting a Exclamation poin Mohawk And is named after one of the policenaughts.
JOHNNY: (Akiba)The techie in Meryl's unit. This MGS's "Cid" is back, and now he on your side this time. It look like he is still have his bowel movement problems.

MGS4 INFO
Facial Hair: here are some pictures I found. I am not sure if they’ve been doctored. There was a rumor that you were able to grow and shave your facial hair the way you wanted it.
EVA: Big Mama She’s back and if this is not a sign that had a Hideo Kojima wrap the MGS story up I don’t know what is.
VAMP: This guy just won't die. We've seen Vamp tangoing with Raiden in some new dancing shoes in the E3 2007 Trailer, and in the TGS 2007 Trailer it look like Raiden's dieing on us or wishing he was. I'm wondering if these injuries are from his battle with Vamp. The scenes are in the same location, but not sure if they're happening around the same time. The Haven Troopers (FROGS) are wearing the same dancing shoes as Vamp, so he may have leadership connection with them or they just shop at the same-store "Outer Haven".
Metal Gear Solid 4 Gameplay Demo .4
Environmental Hideouts
The Statue and Trash Bin was the only ones confirmed in the demo. Some of the Environmental Hideouts in previous games may return like the Locker and Tree
Statue: Snake can use the statues to hide, by climbing up next to the statues with the Statue Camouflage. There Are Probably More Than One Type of Statue Texture so you will see Statue Camouflage 1, Statue Camouflage 2 etc.
Trash Bin: Snake can hide in a Trash Bin but they are very smelly. So you're likely to attract quite a foul smell hiding in one. Your smell can give your position away. You can open the lead slightly and equipped single handheld pistols, and probably some other weapon/items.
PCM: In the demo the PCM’s moved in a four-man team, in a search formation. They are able to break up into two-man teams. And you see a single man scout units as well.
The PCM guns....
Smell: Your smell in the game can give your position away, anyone downwind from Snakes position probably be alerted to the smell and Come Looking for Snake. Wind Direction HUD will give us a heads up on which way we should go if Snake stinks.
Hiding in Trash Bin is one way you can attract a foul smell. The cigarettes that Snake will most likely have in the game, will probably give off a smell when you're smoking them, and you may attract the Cigarettes smoke smell as well for some time afterwards. There's most likely will be other ways for Snake to attract smells maybe even pleasant ones. Smelling bad may also affect your CHI.
Weapon and Item Pickup: In the demo Snake picks up a couple of PCM's guns and some ammo and rations. The ammo, rations and guns do not appear in Snakes, initial weapons and items selection menus. I would assume they go into something like the backpack in MGS3. In the CHI Browser there are Weapon and Item options, this is probably where picked up weapons and items go.
Metal Gear Solid 4 Gameplay Demo .3
Snakes Movement
His has Walk/Run, Roll, Crawl, Flatten, Scoot
Walk/Run: Basic movement from slow to fast. Snakes speed varies depending on Snakes stance standing is faster than crouching but is less stealthy.
Roll: It looks like you need to be running to perform the roll move.
Crawl: Movement on the ground snake can move forward/back and left/right. Faster and less stealthy then the scoot. You can crawl to the legends and swing down to hang. This may be done on your chest and on your back.
Flatten: In the prone position Snake relaxes hugging the floor. This may be done on your chest and on your back.
Scoot: When in the flatten position snake can slowly move around. Slower but more stealthy, then crawl. This may be done on your chest and on your back.
Action: By pressing triangle or action Snake can do a couple of things. Climb, Hug Wall, Peek, Drag, Climb in/over. Their are probably more than this. When Snake is near boxes or statutes pressing action will allow Snake to climb up on them. When Snake is near walls you can press action to hug the wall with Snake's chest facing the wall, this allows Snake to slide along the wall. When Snake's hugging the wall you can press action to mimic the texture of the wall to your Octocam. When you get to an edge you can peek around by pressing action. Pressing action near a dead or knocked out enemy allows you to pick up and drag them. When snake is near Trash Bin he can press the action button to climb into it and pressing it again to get out. You're able to adjust the lid opening peek out for Trash Bin. You can roll from the standing position, while running.
Auto Aim: this place is a target on nearby enemy and is now able to use the Lock On the enemy.
Locked On: this locks Snake onto a specific enemy, When snake has his gun pointed at them he is able to strife in a circular pattern around them.
Octocam: it seems to work when you are in the basic blank texture, and hugging or laying on a surface. This blank texture will automatically absorb and mimic texture that Snake is hugging or laying against. If you want to change to a new Octocam texture you shake the SIXAXIS controller to return you to the basic blank texture, and when you hug or lay against a new surface the Octocam will mimic the new texture. Snake will continue to wear the last texture selected until the Octocam is reset to the blank texture.
CQC
CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT: From behind Snake grabs an enemy's left shoulder with his right hand pulls back on the enemy. He Kicks out his left leg with his right leg. Snake Choke holds the enemy with left hand grabbing the enemy’s right and knocks his weapon out of his hand. From here you can drag the enemy and Crouch with the enemy. Then you can roll on top of the enemy, and choke him out.
FPS
FIRST PERSON SHOOTER: Snake can toggle between third person and first person who can play the whole game in this view, with probably a few exceptions.
OTS
OVER THE SHOULDER: Snake can toggle between left and right shoulder views
EHP
ENVIRONMENTAL HIDING PLACES: Snake can use these places to hide Statue, Trash Bin their are probably more then there's
CHI
There are a couple of things in the game that are going to make you happy/depressed. Getting dizzy from rolling in the Drum Can make you sick and looking at the Man's Magazine will make you feel better.
Hold Up: Snake use is auto aim to lock on to a unaware enemy to hold him up. The enemy drops his weapon, which you can pick up. You can also search the enemy's body for valuable equipment. When you're finished, you can knock out the enemy by crushing his genitalia
Metal gear solid 4 gameplay demo .2
CHIBROWSER ver. 5.06 MANUFACTURED BY HAL EMARRICH
When you open CHI BROWSER HUD has in its upper left-hand corner a couple selections. Codec, Weapons, Items, Camouflage, Options. There may be more options than this. One that I'm thinking that there may be is CHI option to check Snakes attitude like his happiness/depression.Since this is ver. 5.06 Snake may start out with a earlier version of the CHIBROWSER and tand there maybe upgrades too Snakes CHIBROWSER like the firmware we download for PS3’s and PSP’s this is just a thought. It possibly could stay at ver. 5.06 but if mgs4 spans months or years upgrades would make sense.
In the right bottom corner there is a Compass has an arrow pointing north. I’m not sure what this is for; Snake is facing east and not north and the wind is blowing south. WHETHER FIND, TEMPERATURE/HUMIDITY 30 C/50%, WIND DIRECTION 16.5m/S HUD. This HUD may have an effect on Snakes CHI and most likely other visual and movement effects in the game.
Codec: Probably basically the same thing codec were used to with a 21st-century twist.
Weapons: Probably something like what we had in MGS 3.
Items: Probably something like what we had in MGS 3.
Camouflage: Camouflage is broken up into two parts Face and Body.
Options: Probably basic game options.
This picture of Snake’s tactical gear shows up right before Snake appears in the Camouflage option menu. This may be what the Items or Weapons option menu looks like.
Face: Face contains two options in the demo. None and Facecam.
Body: Body contains Oct Cam Suit, Fixed Pattern, Save Camo Pattern, Change Costume. In the demo Octocam Costume is selected for the Body.
Oct Cam Suit: I'm not sure what would be in here.
Fixed Pattern: There was just Statue Cam 1 in here Which Was Used to hide with the Statues in here. I think the Camouflage that is placed in here is either has to do with environmental hiding like statues, or just ones you collect and can't get rid of.
Save Camel Pattern: You mean be able to save specific camouflage to this place. Or downloaded camouflage from online.
Change Costume: This is probably where costumes of other soldiers like the militia costume seen in previous trailers is selected.
Metal gear solid 4 gameplay demo .1
HUB: you have your selected Items on the bottom left, selected Weapons on the bottom right. When you hold still a ring appears around Snake. The ring is a compass, and has an N on it pointing north. It is also used to detect nearby enemies by the ring fluxing in a wave in the enemies direction.
Items
Snake has a couple of items in his inventory in the demo. Solid Eye, Drum Can, MG MK II. Items menu show up in L shape when selected. Like all MGS'S.
Solid Eye: snake has a couple of different modes for his Solid Eye. Normal, Scope, ENVG, there are probably more modes than this, but they haven't shown them yet. Normal is basic normal view. Scope works as a pair of binoculars zooms from x1.0 to x10.0. ENVG this shows every thing things in white, and everything else in black. I think it stands for energy vision goggles.
Drum Can: Snake can equip the Drum Can like the box. Unlike the box it can deflect bullets. Snake can also lie down in the Drum Can, and roll into a nearby enemy to knock them out. When Snake unequips the Drum Can, after rolling Snake is dizzy and throws up. Throwing up seems to cause depression.
MG MK II: it's a metal gear that is used for reconnaissance, it has a weak electrical charge that can stun enemies, but has no other attacks. It is controlled with the SIXAXIS controller. If you make a mistake while controlling him he will spin out of control. It also has stealth camouflage. When it was near by the demolished van the action button option talked up. I assume this is used for hacking or absorbing energy to replenish battery or both. It may be used just to pop the tire but I'm not so sure, why would you need to pop tires in this game maybe there's a reason.
Rations: ?
Ammunition: ?
Weapons
Snake has a couple of weapons in his inventory in the demo, and most of these weapons are picked up from enemies. MK 2 Pistol, Stun Knife, AK-102, GP30, Mosin Nagant, RPG-7, P90, Grenade, WP G, Book. Weapons menu show up in reversed L shape when selected like all MGS'S. There is a A,B,C. you can place on weapons. I assume you can toggle between these three on-the-fly. Some of the weapons that may return are Stun G, Chaff G, Smoke G, Claymore, C4. There will be probably more for the guns returning as well.
MK 2 Pistol: tranquilizer gun with a single shot anesthetic round.
Stun Knife: this can be used as a combat knife, or to shock and knock out enemies.
AK-102: this looks like a basic AK it has full auto most likely three shot burst and single shot.
GP30: grenade launcher that is equip to your AK-102. Not sure what other guns it can equip to.
Mosin Nagant: this looks like a basic sniper rifle with a single shot anesthetic round and zoom of x03 to x10.
RPG7: looks like basic RPG with a zoom of x03 and it may go x10.
P90: looks like basic P90.
Grenade: basic grenade. HUD shows distance, arc and target.
WP Grenade: White Phosphorus Grenade. HUD shows distance, arc and target.
Book: Men's Magazine has more pages this time, you can flip through the pages freely and in first person you can see the pictures. This seems to work as an antidepressant. It is also used to distract the enemy.
PCM’s Gun: PCM have guns; not sure the make or the model.
